Direction

The Intelligence cycle begins with the annual approval of the Intelligence Directive by the Government's Delegate Commission for Intelligence Affairs and the President of the Government. The directive is a document classified as secret that sets out the government's Intelligence objectives or needs.

Once the Intelligence Directive has been approved, the CNI carries out a planning and organizing process of the available resources to obtain the necessary information and produce the Intelligence that meets the Government's needs.
