CCN
National Cyber Security
Some cyber threats may undermine national security, the rule of law, economic prosperity, and the normal functioning of society and Public Administrations.
That is why, taking the Centro Nacional de Inteligencia’s knowledge of threats and vulnerabilities as a starting point, the National Cryptologic Centre (CCN in its Spanish acronym) opened its doors in 2004. The CCN’s efforts are mainly focused on reducing risks and threats coming from the cyber space by means of its Computer Emergency Response Team (CCN-CERT).
The CCN also promotes the use of safe products and systems in its capacity as Certification Authority.
The National Cryptologic Centre (CCN)
The CCN is the institution responsible for safeguarding the security of the information and communications technology services in the different entities of the Public Administration, as well as the security of the systems that process, store or transmit classified information.
