The National Security Office (ONS) is the working body of the Secretary of State Director of the CNI in her role as Delegated Authority for the Security of Classified Information generated by NATO, the EU and the European Space Agency.
Created in 1983, the ONS´ mission is to protect classified information by issuing security clearances to individuals, companies and organizations and the accreditation of ICT systems in which such information is handled. In addition, ONS represents Spain, on behalf of the Delegated Authority, in the NATO, EU and ESA Classified Information security committees, as well as in the different international classified programs.
